As well as the 30 Days of Colour Dec '15 Challenge, I am going to try and participate in the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge which is hosted by Challenge Your Nail Ar t Facebook page (run by Jessica from Be Happy & Buy Polish ).  I am going to try and do as many from both the challenges as possible... 

First things first... HAPPY HALLOWE'EN! Work has been a bit hectic so I haven't felt like painting my nails and therefore have not managed to take part in this month's 30 days of challenge... until now.  I am back in the game for the final prompt: Hallowe'en. I used the watercolour technique again this time with purple (cherimoya - metallic violet), orange (sinful colours - courtney orange) and black (rimmel - black cab).  I used some new nail decals which I received recently ( Nail Mail ).

Today for the 30 Day of Colour Challenge, I have for you Barry M Pit Stop.  I am pleased to say that it lived up to the quick dry title.  The colour even matches our lounge, haha!  Pictures below show two coats on top of a base coat!

So, my favourite colour is actually blue, however, while looking through the polishes in my blue purple drawer, I came across this polish and was reminded how much I love it!  My favourite colour of nail polish changes regularly, but for now, this is it - Metallic Violet by Cherimoya.  The pictures show one coat... ONE COAT! ♥

My eyes are green, with a bit of gold in the middle(?!).  But I went for green as that is the dominant and true colour of my eyes.  I didn't have a green the exact same colour as my eyes, but when I was looking through my green drawer, I found two polishes which I thought looked quite similar, so decided I would do a comparison post about these two greens for todays 'Colour Of Your Eyes' prompt.  Here are my nails to match the colour of my shirt... I have used Rimmel 'Azure', and I think it goes quite well with my shirt.  The shirt is that of the football (soccer) team I support, Queen of the South FC .  Queen of the South are a Scottish club who play in the SPFL Championship.

Not being able to wear nail polish daily, and not going shopping very often, my nail polish stash hasn't grown very much over the past few months (apart from my Birthday!)... The other week I treated myself to a couple of Barry M Polishes, Malibu and Pit Stop.  Pit Stop is one of the Speedy Quick Dry polishes in grey, and Malibu is one of the Matte polishes in blue.  Malibu is the polish which I am using today for the Matte prompt.

My neon polish for today is an unnamed Cynthia Rowley polish.  I swear it IS neon... it's just very hard to photograph!  It's also very hard to describe... a bright salmony, orangey pink with a hint of red, with a satiny matte finish - that sounds about right?! Pictures show two coats, no base or top coat.

Happy St Patrick's Day! Last day of the challenge today, and that means the prompt for today is 'Freestyle'.  I recently tried grunge type nails, and really liked them, so decided I'd do an Irish flag inspired one. I then thought it looked unfinished, and was at a loss as to what to do when I saw a sharpie and decided to go for drawing the Guinness harp logo... It didn't turn out too badly! I used: Barry M - mint green (light green) Barry M - peach melba (light orange) Rimmel - tangerine queen (darker orange) Cynthia Rowley - unnamed (darker green) JESS - (white) Black Sharpie. And here is my final mani for this challenge: Taken in different lights. Numbers 5,6&7 have a filter effect on them. I was going to do a whole new post for Fingerfood's Theme Buffet Week 11, however, the mani I did didn't turn out very good at all and I mucked it up before I'd taken photos... So I decided to just ad...

Day Three and today's prompt is 'Shamrocks' (along with a few other things, however, I chose to base my mani on shamrocks).  This was the day I had an idea in mind for as soon as I saw the prompt list. I used Gems to make the leaves of the shamrocks - which have 3 leaves (it is clovers that come with a 4 leaved 'lucky' version). They didn't turn out as brilliant as I had hoped. I had to do orange instead of white because I got frustrated with my whites as they weren't going on right! Then I found it quite tricky placing the gems with my left hand!  I prefer the gem placement on my index finger and the stem on my ring finger!! And now, picturesss: Again, I planned then out on the templates downloaded from www.nail-lacquer.co.uk . I changed white to orange because my white polishes were annoying me when I did the mani! I think it would have looked fresher with white. Next year!!

Day Two and the prompt is 'Irish Inspired'.  I have gone for the Irish Flag and some plaid.  I think my nails look Irish-ish, and they feel very bright!! My first time attempting plaid on my nails, and I'm really pleased with how it turned out, I just wish I'd used the same green for it rather than opting for a nail art pen. Next time! I used: Sinful Colors (orange) - Courtney Orange W7 (green) - Matt Green China Glaze (white, thumb) - Snow MUA (white, middle/ring) - All Nude Rio Art Pen (green/yellow). This is a 4 day challenge set up by Jessica at Be Happy and Buy Polish, ready for St Patrick's Day.  Today is Day One and the prompt is 'Shades of Green'.  I really like how this turned out.  I didn't really plan it, I chose my shades of green and I just went for it.  Should have used striping tape for neater lines but was planning on finishing it off with glitter lines or black lines, but I thought that would cover up most of the green and went for a glitter topcoat instead so the lines weren't too obviously not perfectly straight. I don't like green very much, but I definitely didn't mind having this in my nails :) For this mani I used: Beautifly - Holo Glitter Top Coat (Darkest to Lightest Green) W7 - Matt Green Sally Hansen - Kiwi Bikini Primark - Unnamed Green Barry M - Mint Green Here is my mani:
