Fantasy Premier League: Week 20

We are now onto the second half of the season, and I still honestly cannot believe that I've done quite well so far.  I'm glad the festive period is now over as it's been very hectic with gameweeks coming thick and fast!  Let's see how gameweek 20 played out...

#Project365: Day 6 - 10

Day 6
This is Alfie all snuggled up behind me on the sofa while I was sitting in front of the fire watching tv on Friday night (wild Friday night, I know...).  We got Alfie from the Cat's Protection about 6 years ago now, and he's a completely different cat to when he first arrived.  He was furless (he'd had an allergy to fleas), he was pretty thin and he was a bit aggressive/scared of people (he was a street cat).  Now, he follows us all everywhere we go in the house, and demands lots of attention!

Day 7
Feeling crafty, so got stuck into a little kit I have had for a while, I think I got it for my birthday.  I love the cute wee face!  All the parts were cut out, but I'm sewing it all together by hand.  It's a little dog by the way.

Day 8

Day 9
IKEA delivery!  How exciting!  I can't wait to build this shelving unit, and the inserts to go in it.  I'm one of these people who actually really enjoy flat pack furniture..

Day 10
Nail Mail!  I ordered these from ebay before Christmas, so I have been waiting patiently for this nail mail.  The hallowe'en water decals were part of a lucky dip but they're really nice, so look forward to using them this October!  How cute are the rabbit decals 😍?!  The two polishes are pearlescent pink and glittery blue.  I will probably do a post soon about this nail mail package!

#Project365: Day 1 - 5

Welcome to my Project 365 series!  I have decided that 2017 is going to be my year to tackle this - I think it's such a fun (but quite possibly challenging) thing to do, and to look back on at the end of the year.  I am going to (try to) take a photo every single day for 365 days.  I will upload them in small batches like this.
I just hope that I can keep up, remember to take pictures and not give up!

Day 1
I treated myself to a light box! I've seen them all over the internet over the last few months and really like them, so I'm really happy to have one in my possession now!  They seem to be sold out in most places right now, so I'm glad I purchased mine when I did!  Anyway, Hello 2017!

Day 2
This lovely calendar was given to me by Suzie for Christmas!  It's so cute, and I love the fact that it will last forever!

Day 3
I was gifted colouring calendars for Christmas, so there's no time like the present to start colouring them in is there?!  With a little help from some chocolate of course..

Day 4
Painted my nails to match my jumper for the next day - or so I thought.  I was convinced that these were more purple than this.. they certainly looked that way in artificial light (it was dark outside) and did match with my jumper.  The camera said otherwise and all I kept getting was a photo of reddy coloured nails.  (Please excuse the quality of this picture!  I just could not get a good shot, and I was trying so hard to see purple nails on my camera!) I found the camera to be true in the morning.. they were in fact pretty much pinky red.... 😂 so they didn't really go with my jumper.  They were still pretty though.

Day 5
As part of my Mum's Christmas present, we as a family went to see the Scottish Ballet performance of Hansel & Gretel.  My mum did ballet for a good number of years, so really appreciated the skill and dedication involved, and she loved it.  It was my first time at the ballet, and apart from the music making me a little sleepy 😂 it was really good!  I loved watching the dancers' feet, and it fascinates me how anyone can go 'en pointe' - the whole of your body weight right on the tips of your toes.. ouchy!

Okay, so not the most exciting photos, but I'm sure I will take some better ones soon.  Anyway, it would be nice to see an improvement over the 365 days...!!

Fantasy Premier League: Week 19

Wow... we are half way through the fantasy premier league already!  Crazy how fast it's gone.  And crazy how I have managed to climb to the top of the £15 Super League and stay there for a few weeks... how long can I stay there??  Let's take a quick look at how Gameweek 19 panned out.

De Gea - 2
Azpilicueta - 1
Koscielny - 6
Williams - 1
Eriksen - 2
Coquelin - 1
Mata - 4
Hazard - 5
Negredo - 5
Ibrahimovic (c) - 10
Costa - 6

Pickford - 0, Fletcher - 2, Lovern - 8, Kingsley - 0.

Total: 43 (Average 45)
Overall Total: 1,005

The best player in my squad (not counting the x2 of the captain) was Lovren, and he was on the bench... Great move Emma!  The only reason I put him on the bench was because Liverpool were playing Manchester City and I was sure Man City would score.  The players actually in my team that scored highly were Koscielny and Costa.  Despite only playing 27 minutes, Mata managed an assist and 4 points.

IN - Hazard, OUT - Mane
IN - Coquelin, OUT - Capoue

League Riffiths - 2
£15 Super League - 1
@ftblrswanimals  - 3

Head-to-Head - 1 (6-3)

Scotland - 4,860
Gameweek 1 - 169,294
Overall - 171,347
Cup - 21 v 43 (through to the next round)

#NOTD - Pink Sparkles

Having been gifted a few nail polishes for Christmas, I have decided that I am going to use each and every single one of them before they get put into my nail polish helmers!  Here are the first three...  They don't actually have names which is a bit sad.

The two coloured polishes are both Technic polishes and came in this set.  There is a lovely champagne-ish coloured metallic polish and a pretty light pink.  I did three coats of each on top of a base coat, topped with seche vite.
On top of the light pink on my ring finger I added two coats of a Seventeen pink glitter.  This polish can be found in this set.

2016: My Favourite Posts

I was super lucky to win a pair of signed Daniel Ricciardo puma shoes.  I was also lucky enough to receive a lovely gift of a signed Mark Webber book from my friend Claire & her Dad!

2016 was good to me in terms of winning things! I won a lap (it turned into 2!) around the specially created street circuit at the event which was held in Glasgow, in one of the Top Gear supercars!  IT. WAS. AMAZING. The rest of the Festival was amazing too!  More here: Track Action & Paddock/Arena.

I took a little trip down to a RSPB nature reserve in Dumfries & Galloway.  It was full of life and I managed to take a few photos of the birds and other wildlife I saw.

Greg James from Radio One was taking part in five triathlons over five days for Sport Relief.  The triathlon on the Wednesday was in Glasgow, and being a fan of Greg James, myself and my friend Hannah went and cheered him on!
