Australian Flag Nails

Today, I did these Australian Flag nails in support of Daniel Ricciardo who was starting from 2nd on the grid in the European Grand Prix in Baku.  Both practice and qualifying were very eventful, with a few drivers touching the walls of this new street circuit, and many going down the escape routes, however, the race was probably one of the most uneventful this season.
Despite starting 2nd, Daniel finished 7th, another disappointing result for Red Bull.  It looks like the soft tyres just didn't work out for the Red Bulls and that meant they needed to make two pit stops instead of one.  The lack of straight line speed also hurt the Red Bulls a little, as the back straight in Baku is the longest of the season.

I used a base of two coats of Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro in Midnight Blue.  Then I used a red Rio nail art pen for the Union Jack section of the flag, followed by a white Primark nail art pen for the remainder of the UJ and the stars. My nails were finished off with a coat of Seche Vite.  I enjoyed doing these nails, however, I found it a little tricky to freehand the seven-pointed stars!
