Wednesday Wishlist | Wall Art/Decorations

Writing this, contending with my laptop keyboard not wanting to type 'G', 'H' or '-', and having to copy and paste each and every single one.  Slooooow process.  I hope it fixes itself by the time I turn it on again!

Today I have a wishlist for you all.  These are items which I have found online, that I love ♥.

Isn't this just wonderful?!  I intend on displaying this in my craft room (when I have one) as it is PERFECT for me as I use the name 'Addicted 2 Sparkle' for selling my products!!  For now though, it would look lovely on my bedroom wall, which I currently use for my crafting! Please go and check out Mookies Crafts on Facebook (www.facebook.com/mookiescraft) there are lots of lovely paper cuts over there, including some fabulous Alice In Wonderland ones.

Feed all the birds... Part One.

I can't quite believe it's been a whole week since I last blogged.  Where has that time gone?  I have been busy making a DIY bracelet stand, and making bracelets to go on said stand.  I am also halfway through creating another display stand.  I will probably blog about them soon.  Anyway, on to today's post...

I have recently been enjoying observing the pheasants in my garden, as documented in previous blog posts, and I have also been enjoying trying to get some nice photos, while still trying to get used to my new camera.   I decided to put my pictures into two posts, as there are quite a few!

We shall start with some collared doves:

Pheasants.... Growing Up

A week ago I introduced you to a couple of the pheasants in my garden.  The friendliest of the two males - the one who poses properly for my photographs - is growing up!

Last week, he had lots of little white specks all over his head, and not so much black and blue/green.

Phezzie this time last week.

Even more weeks ago - before I photographed him, he had a very pale head, almost no black or blue/green whatsoever!
Now though, his new feathers are almost all completely grown in, and he is starting to look like a really handsome guy!

Pheasant
What a difference a week makes!

Yellow & Blue Nails for CSK

On Thursday Chennai Super Kings played in the Champions League T20 semi-final versus Kings XI Punjab.  This was an all Indian Premier League clash, with Chennai Super Kings winning by 65 runs setting up another all Indian Premier League clash in the Final versus Kolkata Knight Riders.  I decided to do my nails yellow and blue in support of CSK for their final on Saturday.  I was out at the football (Queen of the South v Hearts) so I had updates from the match via twitter.  I'm happy to announce that Chennai WON by 8 wickets!

On to the nail art now!  I decided to go simple and started off with two coats of Barry M Lemon, a lovely pale yellow.  I then topped this with two thin coats of Missguided Misslead, a fairly sheer yellow (a slightly darker, warmer tone than the Barry M) with a lovely shimmer.  The blue I used was an LA Colors striping polish simply called Blue Glitter.  I wanted a glitter to match the sparkliness of the yellow, as opposed to a plain blue.  I used a dotting tool for the dots, and was really really pleased with how my accent nail turned out.  I actually can't stop looking at my nails!  I was sitting in the sun at the football and my nails were sparkling nicely!

Meet The Pheasants!

There seem to be two male pheasants living near my garden, and at one point there were 3 females.  Most of the time, pheasants can be quite flighty birds and run off at the slightest sound or movement.  Luckily (for me) one of the males seems to have taken a liking for me and the bird seed I possess!  His female seems to trust him and stays around, just not quite so close as him - although she is the one that has been standing at our patio doors pecking bugs off the glass!!  I think this male is fairly young as he seems to be losing his baby feathers and developing his brighter look.  When I first noticed him in the garden, he didn't have any blue/green on his head, which made him rather distinctive, however, his head seems to be getting steadily more colourful.  The last time I took food out for them, I took my camera too, and managed to take a few pictures.
