Fantasy Premier League: Week 15

With Week 14 really giving me a boost, I was looking forward to Week 15 and seeing if I could close the gap on first place in the £15 Super League a little more.  Read on to see if I was successful in this or not...
I made another transfer this week, bringing in Mane for Lamela who is still out injured.  He went straight into my team with Negredo moved to the bench.

De Gea - 8
Azpilicueta - 9
Koscielny - 2
Williams - 1 (automatic substitution for Mata)
Lovren - 0 (injured)
Kante - 2
Capoue - 2
Eriksen - 2
Mane - 8
Ibrahimovic - 2
Costa (c) - 16
Negredo - 2

Subs: Pickford - 1, Kingsley - 0, Mata - 0, Negredo - 0.

Total: 52 / 766   (average - 46)

Saturday was very low scoring for me, with just 4 points, from Koscielny and Capoue.  Luckily on Sunday things were considerably better.  My score wasn't as good as last week, so I felt a little deflated with that.  Saying that, the average gameweek score was 46, so with 52 I was over this week, so I can't really consider it a bad week.  My points came mainly from four of my team this week: De Gea, Azpilicueta, Mane and Costa.  The best player this week was Azpilicueta, with a clean sheet bonus and 3 bonus points.

Sadly for the second week in a row, Mata didn't get any minutes.  Lovren was injured during his match, so I will have to see how long he is expected to be out before contemplating a transfer for him.  I am thinking about a few different transfers - after all I do have my wildcard left - but I'm not sure if I'd regret them after my team doing well for me so far.  Sanchez is someone I would definitely like in my team though, so I might have a look at how I could get him into my team over the next week or so.

It was a good week with regards to leagues.  I AM (joint) TOP OF THE £15 SUPER LEAGUE.  This makes me very happy.  I can now say that I have been at the top, so am even with J as he was at the top one week this season.  I went up in all other leagues apart from: League Riffiths, League 895135 & Head to Head with J, where I stayed put and @ftbllrswanimals where I lost a couple of places.

My current standings are:

£15 Super League

Look at that!  Right at the top!!!

I'm a bit gutted that there is a midweek gameweek, so I may not get to stay in number one for very long!  Here's hoping my team put in a good performance over Tuesday and Wednesday!

I have to confess I know nothing about football BUT I actually had a lot of fun reading through this post as this is completely new to me, so I can live vicariously through you with football, and well done on being right at the top on that scoreboard too, yay! I'm going to have to brush up on my knowledge to keep up with your posts on these, haha! - Tasha

    1. Haha, I realise that probably a majority of my following won't enjoy my football posts, so thank you for reading & commenting! I'm so pleased to be top aha especially as I have chickened out doing it for a few years as I was too scared I was going to be forever at the bottom! X
