12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge - Dec 2 - Snow Day

Image
As well as the 30 Days of Colour Dec '15 Challenge, I am going to try and participate in the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge which is hosted by Challenge Your Nail Ar t Facebook page (run by Jessica from Be Happy & Buy Polish ).  I am going to try and do as many from both the challenges as possible...

30 Days of Colour Dec '15 Challenge - 5 - Ugly Sweater

Image
Time for another 30 Days of Colour Challenge prompt, and today's (well, yesterday's) prompt is 'Ugly Sweater'.

30 Days of Colour Dec '15 Challenge - 3 - Snow

Image
It's time for another  30 Days of Colour Challenge !  After a break in November, there is a new set of prompts for December.

Extra Love.... It's Arrived.

Image
I'm so happy!  My signed copy of Concrete Love - Extra Love arrived, along with the exclusive photo cards!

Galaxy Nails

It is quite a relief to know (via a couple of Facebook Groups) that I am not the only person who sometimes goes out with just one hand painted, when needs must.  It is quite a rarity, when I am in blog mode that I have all ten nails painted, let alone exactly the same.  Well, today I had all of my nails painted with the same design!

It's about time I did some F1 nails, so here are my nails to coincide with the race today in Brazil.

30 Days of Colour October '15 Challenge - Day 31 - Hallowe'en

Image
First things first... HAPPY HALLOWE'EN! Work has been a bit hectic so I haven't felt like painting my nails and therefore have not managed to take part in this month's 30 days of challenge... until now.  I am back in the game for the final prompt: Hallowe'en. I used the watercolour technique again this time with purple (cherimoya - metallic violet), orange (sinful colours - courtney orange) and black (rimmel - black cab).  I used some new nail decals which I received recently ( Nail Mail ).

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 30 - Swatcher's Choice

Image
Today for the 30 Day of Colour Challenge, I have for you Barry M Pit Stop.  I am pleased to say that it lived up to the quick dry title.  The colour even matches our lounge, haha!  Pictures below show two coats on top of a base coat!

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 29 - Your Favourite Colour

Image
So, my favourite colour is actually blue, however, while looking through the polishes in my blue purple drawer, I came across this polish and was reminded how much I love it!  My favourite colour of nail polish changes regularly, but for now, this is it - Metallic Violet by Cherimoya.  The pictures show one coat... ONE COAT! ♥

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 27 - Colour Of Your Eyes

Image
My eyes are green, with a bit of gold in the middle(?!).  But I went for green as that is the dominant and true colour of my eyes.  I didn't have a green the exact same colour as my eyes, but when I was looking through my green drawer, I found two polishes which I thought looked quite similar, so decided I would do a comparison post about these two greens for todays 'Colour Of Your Eyes' prompt. Rimmel - Green With Envy // Sally Hansen - Pixel Party.

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 26 - Colour Of Your Shirt

Image
Here are my nails to match the colour of my shirt... I have used Rimmel 'Azure', and I think it goes quite well with my shirt.  The shirt is that of the football (soccer) team I support, Queen of the South FC .  Queen of the South are a Scottish club who play in the SPFL Championship.

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 25 - Summer Colour

Image
Unfortunately Summer is over for another year, but here is a lovely Summer colour polish for the 30 days of colour challenge! This coral colour is called Cranberry Kiss and it is from a set of polishes named Fruit Vibe. Pictures show 3 coats of polish, with no top coat or base coat.

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 23 - Winter Colour

Image
Today I have another Miss Beauty London polish for you, for the prompt 'Winter Colour' as part of the 30 Days of Colour Challenge .  The polish is number 363 and it is called Pastel Blue, however, I would consider it a lilac... The pictures below show three coats, no base or top coat.

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 21 - Matte

Image
Not being able to wear nail polish daily, and not going shopping very often, my nail polish stash hasn't grown very much over the past few months (apart from my Birthday!)... The other week I treated myself to a couple of Barry M Polishes, Malibu and Pit Stop.  Pit Stop is one of the Speedy Quick Dry polishes in grey, and Malibu is one of the Matte polishes in blue.  Malibu is the polish which I am using today for the Matte prompt.

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 18 - Shimmer

Image
Today the prompt is 'shimmer' , and I chose a shimmery colour shifting polish called breathless by jess.  The pictures show one coat over two coats of Barry M Malibu.  It was really hard to take a photograph which actually shows the shimmery colour shifting goodness of this polish!! Trying to capture the shimmer and colour shift!

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 17 - Neon

Image
My neon polish for today is an unnamed Cynthia Rowley polish.  I swear it IS neon... it's just very hard to photograph!  It's also very hard to describe... a bright salmony, orangey pink with a hint of red, with a satiny matte finish - that sounds about right?! Pictures show two coats, no base or top coat.

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 8 - Turquoise

Image
Turquoise is the colour for today's 30 Days of Colour Challenge ! I chose a Cynthia Rowley polish with no name, as it's the closest to turquoise I have!  The polish dried a little streaky, but nothing drastic!  I decided to do an accent nail (with a fishtail braid look), to celebrate having two days off work and being able to wear the polish for more than an hour or two!!  For the nail art I used Rimmel Black Cab and Metal Nails in Silver, and the top coat was PS Gel Effect Top Coat.

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 7 - Blue

Image
I'm back for day seven of the 30 Days of Colour Challenge, and today's prompt is blue. This is one of my untried polishes, and it is another from Miss Beauty London, and this is number 12 'Beach Party'.  The polish went on really well, an was almost opaque in one coat!  It was pretty quick to dry too, which for me is always a good thing! Pictures below show three coats, no base or top coat.  (My fingers are a bit dry from work, but I hope that doesn't distract from the nails!!)

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 6 - Orange

Image
The Orange I have chosen for today's installment of the 30 Days of Colour Challenge is a PS Nail Polish from Primark and it is a lovely bright orange. The picture shows 2 coats with no top coat!

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 3 - Pink

Image
The prompt for day 3 of the  30 Days of Colour Challenge  is Pink . This is a new and untried pink for me which I received as part of a gift for my Birthday.  It is Miss Beauty London Gel in Tutti Frutti.  I was so impressed with this polish, as it was almost a one coater!  Here is what it looked like after one coat:   And here is the polish after two coats (no base or top coat):

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 2 - Yellow

Image
Day 2 of the 30 Days of Colour September 2015 Challenge is Yellow.  The yellow I have chosen is Revlon 310 Beach.  I rarely wear yellow, but I'm surprised by how much I am liking this colour!  Pictures below show four coats, no base (tut tut) or top coat.

30 Days of Colour Sept '15 Challenge - Day 1 - Red

Image
I was recently added by Dawn ( Sassy Nails ) to a group on Facebook called 30 Days of Colour Challenge .  I can't wear nail polish at work, but I will try and participate as much as I can this month! So let's get started then.... The red I have chosen for Day 1 is 310 Red Carpet by Rimmel London.  As you can see from the bottle, it's not one of my newer polishes, so I thought it would be nice to dust it off for this challenge.  The subtle gold shimmer is lovely, but only properly comes to life when viewed in the sunshine! Pictures below show two coats with no base or top coats.
