Hello!
Wow, it's been an awfully long time since I posted anything on here. Life very much got in the way, and there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day!
Seeing as it is fast approaching 2019 (I started this post on 31st December but ran out of time), I am in a very reflective mood and wanted to write more than I could in a Tweet or an Instagram post. Here we are once again, the start of another Fantasy Premier League season! Not long into my first season I have to admit I became a little obsessed, and this year I have taken my FPL addiction to a new level and subscribed to a new magazine solely about Fantasy Football! The week before the Gameweek One deadline, I must have changed my team around a good thirty times. #DaysOut: It definitely doesn't feel like a year since the last time I was at Ignition Festival in Glasgow. You can read all about it here, here and here! Anyway, I returned again this year and here are some of the many photographs I took in the paddock and indoor show. I'll be posting my pictures and some videos from the outdoor show soon.

#DaysOut: A couple of weeks ago, Suzie came down from Glasgow and we went on a little road trip down to New Abbey, Mabie Farm Park and then down to the Colvend Coast. I had to split the day into two blog posts as there were quite a few photos and I couldn't whittle them down.

*Originally posted 20.05.2013. Edited 09.02.2017* I was lucky enough to be picked to be a volunteer at the Olympics in 2012. The London 2012 volunteers were called Games Makers. The process started way back in 2010, however, my involvement started a little later than that. I originally applied for a paid role, but in hindsight I am so glad I didn't get the job!Emmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00576818404865091070noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-707891673555778164.post-40814324125902354202017-02-08T08:30:00.000+00:002019-01-03T20:38:40.904+00:00Fantasy Premier League: Week 24

I think this week needs to be filed in the 'best to forget' folder, along with week 22. Is this the start of my demise? Probably, but 'Does It Really Mata'? Yes, yes it does. I really want to do well and definitely do not want to end the season on a downer, so hopefully things will pick up again at the weekend!!

Potentially the week where it all went wrong.
I know I have said before that I didn't ever expect to be up at the top of the £15 Super League, but having been there for a few weeks now, I'm not going to lie, I feel pretty sad that my lead is on the rocks!

With both Costa and Kante suspended for this gameweek I decided to transfer out Kante, but kept Costa as he is one of my best players! For Kante, I bought in Fletcher - he'll be mainly on the bench, but will hopefully be decent (and cheap) back up.
I gave the armband to Ibrahimovic this week, and it certainly paid off! Ibrahimovic along with Alli were the top scorers Emmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00576818404865091070noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-707891673555778164.post-43182388014653617652016-12-24T09:30:00.000+00:002019-01-03T20:38:40.975+00:00Fantasy Premier League: Week 17
Having taken first place in the £15 Super League all for myself in week 16, now it's time for me to try and create a little gap - and hope my captain choices are good ones! Let's see what happened in Gameweek 17...
Again, I made no transfers, and kept the same starting line up from week 17, but Mata didn't play so was automatically substituted out for Williams. I switched captain Emmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00576818404865091070noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-707891673555778164.post-23503776290066807892016-12-16T08:30:00.000+00:002019-01-03T20:38:40.406+00:00Fantasy Premier League: Week 16
Week 15 was great, I reached the summit of the £15 Super League. The only problem now is, it's pretty much only downhill from there... Could I stay there after week 16 or would I start to slide down the table? Let's take a look...
I made no transfers this week. To be honest, I thought about quite a few, but I didn't go through with any, as I don't really want to Emmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00576818404865091070noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-707891673555778164.post-53981870851722422442016-12-12T18:00:00.000+00:002019-01-03T20:38:41.118+00:00Fantasy Premier League: Week 15
With Week 14 really giving me a boost, I was looking forward to Week 15 and seeing if I could close the gap on first place in the £15 Super League a little more. Read on to see if I was successful in this or not...
I made another transfer this week, bringing in Mane for Lamela who is still out injured. He went straight into my team with Negredo moved to the bench.
De Gea - 8

I made one transfer and two changes to my team this week... Let's take a look at how that worked out for me:
With Coutinho being a key player in my team, I felt with him being out for a few weeks it was worth transferring him out and bringing someone else in to (hopefully) score some points. I decided to bring in Eriksen. Out of the starting line up went Williams and Coutinho, Emmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00576818404865091070noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-707891673555778164.post-49097208928103426792016-11-29T08:30:00.000+00:002019-01-03T20:38:41.046+00:00Fantasy Premier League: Week 13
Last week was a pretty positive week, so I have gone for an unchanged team this week. Let's see how my team did:
I decided to transfer out Bellerin, who is currently out injured, for Lovren who seems a good replacement. I think I may still transfer Bellerin back in again when he is fit, but who for - I'm not sure yet.
De Gea - 2
Azpilicueta - 2
Koscielny - 2
Williams - 1

After the international break, it was back to league duty for the players. Let's see how my team did this week:
Luckily the break gave Costa time to recover from his injury ready to captain my team again this week. Sadly Bellerin & Lamela are still out injured. I substituted out goalkeeper Mignolet and bought in Pickford, as he seems to be scoring quite well at the Emmahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00576818404865091070noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-707891673555778164.post-27884515541609414272016-11-15T00:07:00.001+00:002019-01-03T16:20:41.290+00:00UCI Track Cycling World Cup, Glasgow
The first round of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup arrived in Glasgow at the start of November. While many of the stars of the Rio Olympics were resting, there was still an impressive line up of riders in attendance.
The last time the World Cup was in Glasgow was November 2012 and I was an anti-doping chaperone volunteer. I had an amazing time (which you can read about here). I made a couple of subs ready for this gameweek: I bought in Kingsley and Capoue for Galloway and Snodgrass respectively. Due to Costa's performance last week, I kept him as captain for... was this the correct decision?
