Australian Open 2016 - #BackTheBrits



For four Brits, the 2016 Australian Open has been a fantastic one on the court.  It's really exciting to have so many British competitors doing well, with four reaching the semi-finals!

If you are a night owl (or are in Australia!) here are the times at which to expect the Brits to be on court:

Thursday 28th January 2016 - from 11am (Midnight UK Time)

Women's Semi FinalJohanna Konta v Angelique Kerber (7) 
Johanna has knocked out Venus Williams (8) and Ekaterina Makarova (21) amongst others during her fantastic Australian Open run. 
Men's Doubles Semi FinalJamie Murray & Bruno Soares (7) v Adrian Mannarino & Lucas Pouille
On their way to the semi final, Murray/Soares have lost only 1 set.  Jamie also reached the Mixed Doubles Quarter Final with Katarina Srebotnik, only to be knocked out by Bruno Soares and his partner Elena Vesnina!
Wheelchair Men's Semi FinalGordon Reid v Gustavo Fernandez
8-time Australian Open champion Shingo Kunieda was the played defeated by Gordon Reid in the Quarter Finals of the men's wheelchair singles competition.


Friday 29th January 2016 - not before 7.30pm (8.30am UK Time)

Men's Semi FinalAndy Murray (2) v Milos Raonic (13)
Andy has defeated David Ferrer, Joao Sousa, Sam Groth, Alexander Zverev on route to the semi-finals, losing only 2 sets.
